実は、先日、眼鏡をお風呂で落としまして、レンズが欠けてしましました。そういうわけで、今日、眼鏡を買いに行くことにしました。
The other day, I dropped my glasses and the lens was chipped. Today I went to Myeongdong to buy new glasses.
私のお勧めの眼鏡屋さんは、ミョンドンのドット眼鏡です。訪韓直後に、金谷先生に紹介してもらったお店です。お店の方は日本語がとても上手で、とても親切です。今、ウォンが安いのと、私が常連さんという扱いで、とってもいい買い物ができました。また、日本で会ったら、「いい眼鏡だね」と、声をかけてください。
“Dot eyewear” is my recommended optician’s shop. Dr. Kanaya introduced this shop when I visited to Seoul. The shop assistant is very kind and can speak Japanese fluently. Because now Japanese Yen is strong and I’m like a regular visitor, I guess I bought nice glasses. Please call me “Nice glasses!” when you see me in Japan.
その後、ミョンドンで、散髪をして、靴も買いました。最後に、(有名店の)ミョンドン・ギョジャでカルククス(韓国風ラーメン)を食べて帰りました。
Today, I had a haircut and bought new shoes. After eating kalgukusu (Korean style noodle) at Myeongdong gyoza (popular restaurant), I went back.
Olympusの三浦さんには、公私共々、ソウルでの生活ではとてもお世話になりました。いよいよ私が帰国ということで、今回、奥様にもご一緒していただいて、食事を食べることになりました。
I appreciate with Mr. Miura (belongs to Olympus company)’s kind support during my life in Seoul. Since I go back to Japan after 2 weeks, we and his wife met and had a dinner together.
今回、(私の念願の)シンチョンのピョクチェカルビに行きました。ガイドブックにもある超有名焼き肉店です。いやー、おいしかったです。2件目のマッコリは、飲みすぎました。
We went to Byeokje Galbi restaurant which is very famous grilled beef restaurant in Sinchon. Very delicious it was. I had drunk Makgeolli a lot at the 2nd restaurant.
三浦さんご夫妻、わざわざ、シンチョンまで来て下さりありがとうございました。楽しい思い出になりました。帰国後も、よろしくお願いします。

今週ボスは、アメリカ出張で不在です。火曜日には、St. Mary ヨイド病院のKim Wook教授の手術見学に行ってきました。
続いて、水曜日はSt. Mary インチョン病院のDr. Kim Jin-Joの手術見学に行ってきました。
いずれも、Catholic大学の分院となります。
両日とも、楽しい食事の接待もしていただきました。ありがとうございました。
During this week, Dr. Hyung is in USA. So we have no operation. On Tuesday, I visited to St. Mary Yeouido hospital to observe Prof. Kim Wook’s operation. On Wednesday, I visited to St. Mary Incheon hospital to observe Dr. Kim Jin-Jo’s operation. Both hospitals are branch Hospital of Catholic University.
On both 2 days, they thankfully invited me to a dinner party.
韓国も日本も、予選を勝ち上がり、よかったです。もちろん、サッカーの話です。今夜は、韓国ウルグアイ戦がありますが、今日は、ソウルに来て、ちょうど1年です。長かったですし、短かったですね。色々なことがこの1年ありましたが、沢山の人に出会い、沢山のことを経験することができました。韓国の方、日本の方、その他、支えて下さった全ての人に、感謝しています。
It was pleased that both Korea and Japan won to next stage. I’m talking about World Cup soccer game. Tonight, Korea has a game versus Uruguay. Actually, just one year ago, I came to Seoul. It was long but short. I experienced a lot of things, met many people in this academic year. I appreciate to Korean, Japanese and other country’s people.
思い起こせば、昨年の今日、不安と希望を胸に、ソウルに飛び込んで来ました。藤田保健衛生大学上部消化管外科では、これ以上ない盛大な壮行会をしてもらいましたし、沢山の人から励ましの声を頂きました。高ぶる強い気持ちは持っていましたが、中部国際空港で家族に見送りを受けた後、食べたカレーの味は、一生忘れられません。
I remember that I came to Seoul with anxiety and hope. Before coming to Seoul, magnificent farewell party was thankfully held by my colleagues in Fujita Health University and many people encouraged me. Though I had strong determination, it is impossible for me to forget the taste of curry what I ate in the Chubu international airport after saying good-bye to my family.
はじめは、慣れない環境に戸惑いの連続でしたが、宇山教授、桜井教授や金谷准教授など沢山の方からの、温かいメールに助けてもらいました。Noh教授や、Dr. Hyungやこちらの先生方には、毎日の生活のことにも気を配ってもらいました。韓国生活の軌道が乗り始めた後は、沢山の人と出会う機会が増え、充実した日々を過ごせる環境になりましたが、それらも全て、皆さんの支えがあったからこそで、この場を借りて、御礼申し上げます。
残すところ、20日余りとなり、私のブログも、少しずつ終わりが近づいてきましたが、帰国後も、よろしくお願いいたします。
At first period, I was at a loss in every situation. However, Prof. Uyama, Prof. Sakurai, Associate Prof. Kanaya and others sent me mails and these letters encouraged my mind. Prof. Noh, Dr. Hyung and others paid attention to my daily life. After a few months, I enable to live a full life and met a lot of people. I appreciate your warm support.
About twenty days later, I leave Seoul and this blog will be over. I wish your continuous support after going back to Japan.
インチョン空港に到着しました。今から、パリ経由で、ジュネーブに向かいます。それでは、行ってきます。

サッカー、日本も勝ちました。よかったです。みんなに、おめでとうと言ってもらいました。
Japan national soccer team won the last game. It was so amazing. Many my Korean friends said to me “Congratulations!”
さて、私は、スイスのジュネーブで開催されるヨーロッパ内視鏡外科学会のため、明日ソウルを旅立ちます。現地で、金谷先生と合流予定です。
Tomorrow noon, I leave Seoul to Geneva, Switzerland to attend EAES (European Association of Endoscopic Surgery) meeting. In Geneva, I will meet Dr. Kanaya.
ワールドカップ初戦のギリシャ戦、京都サンガに在籍した2名の選手(イジョンス選手、パクチソン選手)の活躍もあり、2－0の見事な勝利でした。
残念ながら、この日は雨でしたが、私は、同僚のパクキョンホ先生とKorea Tシャツに着替え、自宅近くのサムギョッサルレストランに行き、ほかの韓国の人達と、応援してきました。会心の試合展開に、みんな大興奮で「テーハミンクク(大韓民国)」の大合唱でした。
In the first match game of World Cup, Korea got 2 goals and won the game. Lee Jung-Soo and Park Ji Sung who had played at Kyoto Sanga got the goals.
It was unfortunately raining, I changed my shirt into Korean T-shirt and went to Samgyeopsal restaurant with my friend, Dr. Pak. We cheered Korea with other Korean people. The game was really exciting and everybody was saying “Daehan Minguk”!
今日は、カソリック大学でのシンポジウムがありました。今から、韓国チームのワールドカップ初戦です。ギリシャ戦の応援に行ってきます。
Today, I attended the symposium at Catholic University. The match game Korea vs. Greece will start. From now, I will go somewhere to cheer Korean national team, though it is raining.
カソリック大学セイントメアリー病院で国際胃癌シンポジウムがあり、参加してきました。国際的にも有名な先生方(イタリアのHuscher先生、アメリカのStrong先生、Ajani先生、日本から、佐野先生、九嶋先生)が招待され、それぞれの専門分野について口演をされました。国立がんセンターの九嶋先生と、お話しする機会があり、写真をご一緒してもらいました。
At, Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital, International Gastric Cancer Symposium was opened and I attended it. Many famous doctors (Dr. Huscher from Italy, Dr. Strong and Ajani from USA, Dr. Sano and Kushima from Japan) were invited to give us their special speech. I had a good chance to take picture with Dr. Kushima.
来週から、サッカー・ワールドカップが始まりますね。韓国でも、徐々に盛り上がっています。先日、Tシャツを買いました。韓国は12日にギリシャと対戦します。
Next week, World Cup Soccer Game will be started. In Korea, the concern for the game becomes gradually bigger and bigger. The other day, I bought this shirt. Korean team has a match game with Greece at 12th, June (Saturday).
